Baby, a six years old phenotypically female child, was born without a urinary bladder, anal canal, and a single kidney. Soon after birth, she underwent surgery where two stomas were created to divert her stool and urine. The parents were worried about the future as constant urinary dribbling started a social and familial problem. The previous surgeon declared that nothing more could be done, but Dr. Samiul Hasan wanted to make the child continent which would keep her dry and socially acceptable. An expert pediatric surgical team led by Dr. Samiul Hasan planned to make a urinary bladder using the intestine. On 29th August, history was created! The surgical team completed a urinary bladder using the child’s intestine and made an opening in the abdomen through which the child could empty her new bladder. This will keep the child dry and will make her socially acceptable. She can even go to school now.
