Dr. Md Samiul Hasan is a dedicated pediatric surgeon with expertise in neonatal surgery and pediatric urology. He is committed to providing optimal surgical care for children through ongoing research and evidence-based practices.
In 2011, Dr. Samiul joined Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute, previously known as Dhaka Shishu Hospital, after completing his MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College. He was dedicated to his work and patients throughout his career at BSHI. Dr. Samiul kept up-to-date with his academic and research skills, which allowed him to receive his MS in pediatric surgery in 2017. Furthermore, he completed his European board fellowship training in pediatric surgery at Mainj University Hospital in Germany in 2021. Dr. Samiul’s hard work and determination made him the youngest associate professor of pediatric surgery at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital.
This person has an exceptional history in scientific research, having presented numerous papers at national and international conferences and publishing highly respected research articles. He also holds a prestigious role as an executive member of the Association of Pediatric Surgeons of Bangladesh (APSB), actively contributing to the scientific committee.
In 2021, he and his colleagues established “Stars From The Sky” to provide modern surgical care for children with surgical needs in Bangladesh. This non-profit organization aims to improve the infrastructure and human resources in pediatric surgery in Bangladesh. His vision is to ensure that every child in the country has access to the latest surgical care available.
